ALC25 b*tche* & a**hole*

this morning...i was able to chat with 2 of my batchmates in a seminar called the Advance Leadership Course (ALC). after 2 years of taking the course, we decided to have some kind of a reunion. i hope everyone (or even most of us) can come.

April 15-18 of 2004, i took ALC due to my dad's persistence. at first, i was very hesitant to attend since it was so expensive (at that time, it cost about Php8,000 or approximately $154) and thinking that those who'll be there are more likely yuppies or business persons (i was an incoming senior then..still studying). so when i entered the room, i have this uneasy feeling...seeing those unfamiliar faces with different personalities (as in meeting people from all walks of life). come 1st break, we began to know each other...our backgrounds, preferences and all--and the rest is history. when our 1st day ended, it's like we've known each other for ages.

the course was really worth every penny. it was so sulit! from the modules, group activities, dialogue, malditang facilitator (peace to you Tita Besol!) etc...and of course, the best of all is having a support-group.

the ALC taught me to value the power of my word/s, increase my emotional intelligence, and achieve personal clarity. it made me uncover the essence of leadership. i also learned from it that personal responsibility is the crux of change and most importantly, it made me realize that commitment is a day-to-day choice.
